While America has seen every one of its piano manufacturers either change hands or close their doors, Americans are fortunate to have many decades of wonderful used pianos from dozens of excellent piano manufacturers available through resale at Cordogan's. With our in-house restoration facility, work is completed before they are resold, making them look and play like new. Given the wonderful quality level of select, older American craftsmanship, coupled with Cordogan's generous warranties, you can feel confident your unique, reconditioned piano will provide many years, if not decades, of musical enjoyment.

Add to that a unique aspect of Cordogan's: we often have archived copies of product reviews (Consumer's Digest and other trustworthy publications) for pianos made during the 60's, 70's and 80's, so that you can see how the different pianos fared against other pianos made during that same period. Such information is so important because the reputations of most American brands have changed over time. It would be helpful to know that in one review, a 1968 Everett console had a higher rating than a Steinway console made in that same year! Today, Everetts are being produced in China and bear NO resemblance to their American predecessors.

Without documented, comparative information relevant to the specific era in question, it would be much more difficult for consumers to gain concrete information concerning quality and value of used pianos.

Even with all the American companies that have closed their doors or changed hands, there is still one American company thriving and maintaining its original management -- PianoDisc. Its parent company, Music Systems Research, is based in Sacramento, CA and they are the manufacturers of the world's largest selling player piano system -- PianoDisc. Cordogan's has been a PianoDisc dealer for over a decade and the installations of PianoDisc systems are performed by Cordogan's own staff of certified PianoDisc installers/technicians, ensuring a level of quality control and customer support second to none.
