ABOUT THIS CABLE PIANO:

A free piano?!? Yes, you read correctly! Looks pretty, but the insides are a mess and the cost of restoring it to a playable condition far exceeds the value of the piano. Anyone can come pick it up (we'll bring it to ground level), but the unsuspecting bargain hunter won't know the surprises that await them! Check out our Wanted Poster page to learn more about these devious devils posing as "pretty pianos!" Oh, and we're serious about the offer-- this piano IS free for the taking, but you must promise us never, ever let your kids take lessons on it! :)

ABOUT CABLE PIANOS:
The Cable Piano Company dates back to 1885 and the name continued under various owners until 1982. One might think that the word Cable had some real significance in the industry given how many other piano manufacturers included the word in their brand name through the years: Cable-Nelson, Conover Cable, Cable & Sons, Hobart M. Cable, Fayette Cable. But there's really no interesting story to report. Maybe with thousands of piano brand names throughout the 1800's and 1900's, they were simply running out of words and needed to start repeating.
