ABOUT THIS KIMBALL PIANO:

This is a Viennese Classic edition baby grand – one of the last few affordable baby grands EVER built in America. The story goes like this: This piano was made at a time when Kimball owned the world-renowned Bosendorfer piano company in Vienna (the highest rated grand piano in the world), enabling Kimball to legally “borrow” design elements from the Bosendorfer in order to market Kimball’s “Viennese Classic” line. This was a big seller in the 80’s and this particular piano is in terrific condition.

ABOUT KIMBALL PIANOS:
The Kimball Piano Company was a Chicago institution for almost 140 years. At times they built some very nice pianos, and at other times, well, not so nice pianos. But then again, most piano manufacturers are guilty of that. Kimball was simply fortunate to have more years to do it than most. Kimball was a very popular, affordable piano across the United States until Kawai and Yamaha pianos began to wash ashore and show American piano manufacturers a thing or two that Kimball (and many others) could never answer. Kimball was eventually purchased by a Fortune 500 furniture company who decided that Kimball's manufacturing facility would be better used to make furniture instead of pianos. It was in 1996 that anyone last heard Bob Barker say "A NEW KIMBALL PIANO!"
