Comments:
Chickering is an American icon in pianos. They were America's first piano manufacturer who were in business longer than ANY other American piano manufacturer, past or present -- including Steinway. The name carries such importance that their serial number logs (indicating the completion date and sales information of every piano ever made) are on display at the Smithsonian. This piano was made before Baldwin purchased the name in the 90's and began applying the Chickering name to pianos that bear little or no resemblance to original Chickering pianos. This particular model was made for decades -- a real testament to the timelessness of the case design!
