Used Sohmer console piano

This is a GREAT BUY for an aspiring player who wants a 6' range, good quality piano without spending the money on a Yamaha C3. Samick's 6'1" piano was a great "half the price" alternative the Yamaha C3 and remains so on the resale market. It is in mint condition inside and out. Made in Korea, not China or Indonesia.

ABOUT SOHMER PIANOS:

About Sohmer Pianos:  Sohmer is one of the few great, treasured names in the American piano industry, joining the ranks of Steinway, Mason & Hamlin, Chickering and Knabe.  Founder Hugo Sohmer was a childhood friend of Henry Steinway.  While Steinway ultimately gained fame from placing pianos in the hands of concert halls and the artists who perform at them, Sohmer just kept quietly making great vertical pianos...for over a century.  Sohmer is an American iconic piano, much like a Hitchcock chair or a nice vintage Baker table.  Rather than cheapen the product to compete with inexpensive imports in the 80's, Sohmer gracefully closed its doors and bowed out of the industry.  Like Chickering, Knabe and Mason & Hamlin, the name was eventually sold.  Sohmer was sold to Samick, who uses it today on pianos they produce in Korea.  The sound you hear at this very moment is Hugo Sohmer turning over in his grave.
