ABOUT
WURLITZER PIANOS: |
Wurlitzer may be known more for its jukeboxes these days, but it was a formidable name in affordable pianos for over a century until they closed their doors in 1985. Baldwin subsequently bought the name and began applying the name to their own pianos and then later to pianos made in Korea. More recently, Baldwin had been applying the name onto pianos made in (gulp) China. Yes, a name as American as baseball, hot dogs and apple pie is now Made in China. Currently Baldwin has parked the Wurlitzer brand name and is not marketing pianos under the Wurlitzer name. See "What's
with all these old American brand names being resurrected by new companies?" |
