HISTORY :
 Lyon & Healy was and still is a Chicago-based company, but today they're well known for harps because that's actually what they still manufacturer and sell. But for decades, Lyon & Healy was a giant Chicago enterprise -- piano manufacturer, distributor and dealer. They also did things the Chicago way -- "Records, what records your honor?" which is why it's often difficult to determine the age of a Lyon & Healy piano. They're one of the very few big brands who did not report their production records to the industry for the purposes of archiving in the Piano Atlas. Without manufacturer entries, we are sometimes left to guess the age.
