ABOUT GEORGE STECK PIANOS:
George Steck had a long run in North America, dating back to 1857 and enduring through 1981 before the pressures of global competition helped to close their doors. In the 1990’s, the name was owned by the folks at Mason & Hamlin, and more recently, Geo. Steck met the same fate as many other historic American names – the name is now being applied to pianos made in China. New Stecks bear no resemblance to original Stecks. It’s simply another name on another Chinese piano.
